Mother's Day Gift Basket Ideas

Looking for a low cost and fun gift for Mother’s Day? How about making mom a gift basket? This means you can pick a few things you know that Mom likes and create a larger gift to suit her personality!

I made what I think would be a pretty awesome gift and spent $16 total including the basket!  If you already have baskets around the house then that’s all the more you can put towards filling it with great items.  This basket above has:

(2) Candles
(2) Body Washes
(2) Nail Polishes
Hair Brush
Hair Clips
Travel Mug
Grapefruit Hand Soap
Box of Chocolates

It may be a basket filled with things I would like…  You can get pretty creative with basket gifts though.  To give you some ideas:

Movie Night In
Grab a couple DVD’s all starting at $1.  Then get boxed candy and pop corn, and maybe a 20 oz bottle of coke.  This would be super cheap but would be a very thought out gift as long as you get mom a movie she would like…
Approx. cost: $9

Spa Time
Similar to the basket I made, but grab slippers for $1.50, bath soaps and body washes and lotions.  Then add in small jar candles for $1.  To make it even more fun grab a box of hot tea and a nice mug.
Approx. cost: $10

Vacation Getaway
Grab a pool float for $3, insulated cup for $2.50, sunscreen, beach towel, flip flops, and even a bottle of aloe (just in case).
Approx. cost: $10.50 + cost of sunscreen (use a coupon).

Nature Lover
This is a larger basket but would be very fun!  Grab small potting kits for $2.50, a small 1 lb bag of mulch for $2, seed packets at 50¢ each, and then a bird feeder and birdseed starting at $4.  They have some cute stuff that would make this an awesome gift.  (I may want this…)
Approx. Cost: $15

I hope this gives you some ideas that don’t break the bank but still show mom how much she is loved.  Honestly mom’s are tricky creatures to shop for, so this way you get her a range of goodies that are bound to make her smile!
